CAN Gauge Extended Channels for G4+

Note: The channels you can add to G4+ with the below method are all included in the G4X/G5 Extra Mode, G4X/G5 users do not need to follow this guide to access these channels.

A range of further channels can be added for G4+ users, and sent to the Link CAN Gauge using the “User Streams” mode in PC Link.

Set up of the user streams is as follows:

  1. Select another spare CAN channel

  2. Set Mode to “Transmit User Stream x” (x being the next unused transmit or receive user stream number)

  3. Set CAN ID to the ID that is part of the stream file name - for example if you wish to use “GaugeART_CAN_Gauge_Extra_ID50.lcs”, set the ID to 50

  4. Set Transmit Rate to 20Hz

  5. Set Format to Normal

  6. Change to the Streams tab of the CAN Setup window

  7. Select Stream x, and then click Load Stream

  8. Select “GaugeART_CAN_Gauge_Extra_ID50.lcs”, and click the Open button (find this in the CAN folder of your PC Link install)

  9. If you wish to add a further stream, change back to the mode tab, select the next spare CAN channel

  10. Repeat steps 1-7 for the “GaugeART_CAN_Gauge_Extra_IDxx.lcs” file, this time using the CAN ID xx

  11. Click Apply, and then OK

  12. Make sure a Store (F4) is performed
